Dr. Evgeni Sharkov is a specialist in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery and a recognized expert in advanced body contouring and minimally invasive aesthetic technologies. He is the co-owner and practicing plastic surgeon at VDERM Private Aesthetic Clinic in Sofia, Bulgaria, and previously served as Head of the Department of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery at Alexandrovska University Hospital in Sofia.
Dr. Sharkov graduated with a diploma of excellence from the Medical University of Sofia and has built an international reputation through both clinical practice and academic contributions. He completed specialized training in the United Kingdom, working alongside leading surgeons including Mr. Brent Tanner and Mr. Michael Cadier, former president of the British Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons (BAAPS).
A respected educator in the field, Dr. Sharkov is a certified trainer for InMode technologies across Europe and the Middle East, teaching advanced radiofrequency face and body lift procedures such as FaceTite, AccuTite, BodyTite, Morpheus8, and EVOLVE X. He is also a certified trainer in SmartGraft FUE hair restoration and LipoCube procedures.
Dr. Sharkov is an active member of the Bulgarian Association of Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery (BULAPRAS) and the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS). He previously represented Bulgaria’s postgraduate plastic surgery doctors at ICOPLAST and has served as an official representative of BULAPRAS at the European Association of Societies of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (EASAPS).
An award-winning academic, Dr. Sharkov received the ICOPLAST Europe Award in 2018 for his presentation on body contouring. He is the author and co-author of multiple scientific articles and presentations focused on procedures such as brachioplasty, abdominoplasty, and upper body lift. He is currently completing his PhD in Body Contouring and is the author of the Springer textbook “Body Contouring Surgery: The Role of Non-Invasive, Minimal-Invasive and Surgical Technologies.”
